Anyone else disappointed by the results of Oscar?
The biggest disappointment for me is Martin Scorsese winning best director for The Departed. I'm not saying this because I dislike the guy. My reasons for - The Departed is an adaptation of a Chinese film called Infernal Affairs shooting in 2004. You must do work much easier when you can watch a film of a director who is already made. Something like a copy somehow. It is an unfair advantage. There were also numerous reports firsthand Scorsese team in that cave to Jack Nicholson, who actually changed the script, took over the leadership of many scenes. Now that is not a sign of a great director. The Departed is no different from any other cops and robbers movies there. Be Scorsese waited a long time to win, but I understand Oscar is not expected that those who should win the longest, this is the best among the best. My vote went to Clint Eastwood, who shows great talent in directing actors do not speak English and has done a great job.
No. You can be disappointed if they do not expect anything. Oscars are on the way to the Grammys. I just read a good book night.
